Can the Valsalva Maneuver Hurt Ears/Make Tinnitus Spike?

Since cracking my jaw too widely a couple days ago my ear has been somewhat muffled/clogged, I keep trying to get relief with the valsalva maneuver, which seems to usually help mildly but sometimes it makes it a little worse/more full feeling.

Can the maneuver itself damage ears and or make tinnitus any worse?

My guess is yes.

Yes so be careful as will inflame your ears.
I find it's better doing it after a hot drink and slow and not hard.

Just checking Glynis, do you believe it can damage the inner ear. Is this what you mean?
