Maybe this is a bit of a silly question as I'll be getting the shot in my foot (obviously nowhere near my ears), but is a Cortisone shot safe for someone with Tinnitus?

I know that it's a type of anti-inflammatory, and medicines of that sort can cause tinnitus and/or make it worse, so is the same true of Cortisone injections?

I'll be getting one tomorrow in my foot, and I wanted to make sure it was pretty safe to do so?

Given that some ear specialists do intratympanic steroid injections in an attempt to reduce inflammation in cases of sudden hearing loss, I'm thinking a steroid shot in your foot should be fine.

Yeah, as I said, silly question. But, when it comes to T, I'm paranoid, lol. Thx for answering, Tinker Bell.

My husband and I both have tinnitus. He was having some issues with a trick finger and when he went to the doctor, it was recommended that a cortisone shot would be beneficial so he agreed. He had one and the movement of his trick finger improved and thankfully, his tinnitus was unaffected so I doubt you have to worry. The main thing is for you to feel better and not have any difficulty walking.
