Lately I have had twice, and for a brief time, a crawling sensation on an arm, at times when I am just resting, for instance lying in bed.

A friend of mine reported something like this after a rear end collision with whiplash. So I am wondering... Could this be a compressed nerve near my shoulder or neck? Could this somehow be related to hyperacusis and tinnitus?

if it doesn't happen when you go for a walk then it could be a spinal disc pressing on a nerve when you lay down. you can look up 'bulging disc', 'slipped disc' or 'herniated disc'.
