Hi! After three years of successfully dealing with my tinnitus, my life has turned upside down. For a month now I have suffered from several spikes in volume and tones. Some days I can barely hear people talking. It feels like there's a radio tuner in my head that skips stations. Has anyone ever experienced this?

      I'm really scared!

Have you had any recent loud noise exposure?
Do you have any hearing loss?
Do you have more than 1 tinnitus sounds?
Does it fluctuate, like some days are very low and some are bad ones?

Hi! No exposure to loud sounds and apparently no hearing loss but I will be taking an audiogram to make sure. Yes, various tones of whistles, whispers. There have been isolated days when it got really low.

The last month was a real roller coaster ride with my tinnitus. Each day a new frequency, and a new volume.

Let's hope for more low days...
Is your tinnitus so loud it blocks out conversations? That's really scary.

Hoping this will pass for you. I do find that some days my hearing is way worse than others. The biggest fluctuations are either at night when I lay down or during a quiet time in my classroom. The longer the period of quiet the harder it is for me to hear. I’m sure none of it makes sense but that’s how it feels.

      Best of luck.

Is this your first spike? Hang in there, this should pass.

Could it be due to weather change?
