Im curious if anyone cuts the little bit of the earplug that sticks out so that they are more hidden...i have skin colored ones and with the tip cut they aren't really noticeable...which makes me happy and doesn't draw attention. Does cutting them shorter make them less protective?

    2. Yes. Tried it and paid for it...depends on your ldls though..

I insert them pretty deep..The flesh coloured ones are hardly noticeable. .

Maybe you can search for flesh coloree ones? Or you can maje custome earplugs, adapted to your ears, you will be avle to chosse the color and they will be quite invisible.

They stopped selling flesh colored ones in NZ, which was annoying as I wear foam earplugs everyday for my job, but now I know you can still get them, I will try and mail order them.
I would love to be able to hide the fact a bit better.

Cutting them, (provided you have not got bad H) should be sweet as for not too noisy situations but don't cut them if you are using them for clubs, concerts ETC.

Get some custom fit musician plugs, they usually come in clear silicon so they are barely noticeable. No one ever notices mine unless I insert them in front of them. Costs a bit but well worth it.
