Dealing with Unmaskable Tinnitus?

Is your tinnitus maskable?

  1. Fully (even very quiet noise masks my tinnitus)

  2. Mostly (many everyday noises mask my tinnitus)

  3. Barely (only loud or very specific sounds mask my tinnitus)

  4. I can't mask my tinnitus under any condition

How do you guys deal with tinnitus that is unmaskable? What are some alternatives to masking that might offer some relief? I read somewhere that coloured lights can be helpful.

My tinnitus has gone up from mildly severe to rather severe in these past couple of days. Dealing with a lot of fear. Scared I won’t find a way to live alongside this nails-on-chalkboard-monster :(

Any insights or sharing of experiences would be helpful!
