I've been through a bunch of decibel apps on my android and they are NOT accurate. The first one I had measured talking level at 80 db or above even when I talked softly. I find that funny considering talking level is around 60 db. I have had this problem on both androids and iphones.
The second app measured BLASTING headphones at around 60 db when it was clearly over 100 so my advice to fellow sufferers who want to keep their sound levels in check is not to trust them. Invest in an actual decibel meter.

      Take care
