      Tinnitus Since:

      Cause of Tinnitus:
      plugged nasal eustachian tube
I was given Deltacortril steroid and Amoxicillin yesterday due to chest infection. I had a day of silence - no ringing in my ear. I took one Amoxicillin at 5 p.m. Now this morning I've got ringing in my ear. I have not taken the steroid as it has to be taken in the morning with food.

Question is are these drugs going to have a severe impact on my tinnitus? I ain't taking them until someone can give an answer.

And the doctor said it won't have an effect on the tinnitus.

      Thanks,
      Elmer B Fuddled

Hello @Elmer B Fuddled (love the nick!) -

There should be no effect on your tinnitus at all. And in the unlikely event that there is, the effect should be mild and temporary.

All the best with it -

      Stephen M. Nagler, M.D.
