To make sure I tried everything i stopped drinking coffee and wine. Things I love so much.
I will continue doing so for 1 month so see if this affects my T. So far after 1.5 week I cannot tell any difference.

Does coffee or wine spike your T?

rt... Hah! Wine is the evening version of coffee! A glass or two, as I have to support my local economy and the view out over the valley takes on a more...nuanced hue! Also it's good for you aka "The French Paradox", etc., etc. :)

      Neither
affect my tinnitus one bit. Though the evening wine (not on Retigabine...sigh!) sure makes it a bit easier to handle. What did Michael Douglas say in "Traffic"...Oh yeah. It takes the edge off!

No, I have found that the only thing dietary that effects my T are salt, aspartame and MSG.

No, not me. One cup of coffee to wake up. Wish I could have more, but I want to have some good sleep. A glass of wine or two in the evening is nice and relaxing. As a matter of fact, this post reminded me to have a glass of chardonnay. Thank you.

I'm in the wine business and drink it fairly regularly -- obviously. No effect as far as I can tell...

Yes, both. Caffeine - immediate onset of spike, can last for up to two weeks. Wine - lowers it immediately, next day spike due to down regulated gaba from wine. Can last a few days.
      Don't have wine very often.
Try to never have caffeine, but it is hard in a cafe. As when we ask for decaf, they often do not rinse the equipment from the caffeinated coffee made just before.

My morning coffee spikes my T slightly especially if I don't eat much. -- My afternoon coffee really spikes it.

Wine is really bad on my T. -- Good thing I don't drink it often.

I'm going to try cutting down coffee to one a day and then hopefully none. -- We'll see.

Caffeine spikes my anxiety, that's for sure. But I doubt it directly affects my T. I've pretty much stopped drinking coffee for the last few weeks. Pity, because I love it so much.

coffee doesn't cause a spike, but in the first 6 months it made it much harder to deal with one.

alcohol almost completely erases my tinnitus 80% of the time. I'd drink everyday if I didn't know it'd kill me and make me a fatass.
