Don't miss the opportunity to attend Tinnitus Quest's online Q&A with Dr. Susan Shore and Jon Pearson, CEO of Auricle on October 13. We will hear the latest about the Susan Shore Device.
I have always been a side sleeper. In the past three months I have noticed that ear pain both inside and on the outer area of my ear is preventing me from sleeping on my side.
Do others with hyperacusis, TTTS or any other cause of ear pain have the same issue?
No, I always sleep on my side. Even for some hours with muffs on. I'm awoken by upstairs neighbours, early in the morning... put my muffs on and squeeze in a couple more hours.... some days at least.
Yeah I have trouble with sleeping on my back from sinus drainage. Sometimes I sleep on my side but prop my neck up on the pillow folded at an angle to keep my ear off it. This probably isn't good for my neck and the somatic element of my tinnitus though.
