Loud Concert
I went a few times to a football stadium, here in Oporto, with some ear plugs and everything went just fine.
Recently, when I go out for dinner with my friends(I don't wear ear plugs at this situation), I question myself: "Is this dinner too loud?"

I have an app that counts the dB, but I think it not working properly, because there are some values that doesn't add up, for example, when I'm in my bed, pure silence, it says that the intensity of the sound around me is about 30-40 dB.

For everyone who is know, too afraid of going out, don't be, it's ok, just carry your earplugs with you, every time you feel uncomfortable just put your ear plugs.

Tell me, what's your limit? The intensity of the sound, that you put on your earplugs?

These sound apps and even Db meters have a starting point at around 30db

While different people may differ on the level of tolerance of loud noises, here are two sites which list the common noises and their dBs, and the maximum time of exposure before damage is done:

Agreed, but don't you think the tolerance is different once you have T? Even though I am not sure about this..
I think spikes are a good indication. And luckely a spike doesn't mean any permanent damage.

I think it is a subjective thing even among those with T. A sufferer of T without hyeracusis may not find a normal noise so loud and piercing as one who has also hyperacusis or so called 'reactive tinnitus'. But we are still talking about reaction or perception of the noise, not the actual damage to the ears and hearing as mentioned in those two sites with the guidelines of maximum exposure before damage is done.
