Genta is one of the aminoglycoside class. Erythromycin is another implicated in tinnitus. The recommendations for these drugs are that they are to be given as a slow IV infusion only to avoid the rapid serum concentrations that occur with a quick push which is where you get your damage in most cases. Genta doesn't have an oral form.
