Help me pick my poison. I have a mild outer ear infection. (Swimmer's ear.) I went to an urgent care place to get it checked out. The nurse prescribed me ciprofloxacin ear drops. Reading the side effects of this type of antibiotic, I got scared and wrote my PCP and asked for a different type of antibiotic. He did comply, but he prescribed me aminoglycoside based ear drops! The reviews on that seem even worse.

So...which one would you choose between the two?

I would choose Ciprofloxacin. What side effects are you worried about?

I'm worried that it will adversely affect my T.

Well yes I get that, but what specifically have you read in research or documentation of side effects worries you?
