Cause of Tinnitus
Noise induced, loud rock concert
I have my mild T for almost 1.5year now, noise induced after loud metal concert. I do not have any detected hearing loss, my audiograms both standard to 8kHZ and high frequency show normal hearing. Other inner ear examinations like DEPOAE and ABR (Auditory Brainstem Response) show no disfunction so based on available diagnostics platforms my hearing is just fine. Probabely T originates from some minor demage (synapses?) which is not detectable.
Anyway since that time I avoided any loud events, but live music is something that I start to miss. Would you say in my case if I bought tailor made professional ear protectors that are used by musician I would be safe from further T increase perspective? If so what level of dB decrease you would consider safe for rock concerts, 25, 30, maybe 35 dB?

Thanks for any tips on that

I use alpine musicians ear plugs. I can't remmeber the exact decibel reduction but you can find them on amazon.
