Ear Vibrates to Moderately Loud Sounds: What Is This? Part of Hyperacusis?

Hello,

I have had tinnitus and mild hyperacusis for 3 years.

Hyperacusis is characterized as amplification to car brakes kind of sounds.

Recently, my ears are vibrating when there is a moderate sound.

The sound is not amplified like with car brakes but it causes vibrations in my ear.

What is this condition?

Are you sure loud noises don't also make you dizzy or nauseated because that would be Tulio phenomenon (not a diagnosis on its own, just a name for the symptom)?

Tonic Tensor Tympani Syndrome (TTTS) is experienced differently by everyone but it's most often described as a thumping, fluttering or vibrating.

It's common with those who have hyperacusis.

I have vibration/feather type movements/thumpings inside my ears; not really sure what it is. Sometime in my right ear, and sometimes left. Not really sure exactly what triggers them either. Massaging my face muscles sometimes triggers the thumpings.

This is very interesting. I've also noticed my TTTS can vary between the ears (never at the same time) and as a result I typically have jaw pain on the same side of the face in whatever ear is experiencing the symptoms.
