Earplugs Making Tinnitus Worse?

      Yes, after a few hours once I distracted myself with other things.

      @Lilah, when that happened, did you have hyperacusis too? I dozed off with earplugs for 90 minutes and my tinnitus and hyperacusis spiked significantly. Been 2 days and it’s not back to baseline yet.

      Yes, I have mild hyperacusis and it did spike slightly. Even now, my hyperacusis does spike when my tinnitus worsens sometimes. However, I believe the behavior of my tinnitus does not really correspond to noise exposure; I see more of a link between hyperacusis and noise exposure.
