Habituating to Tinnitus Using Hearing Aids with a Wave Sound — Should I Continue?

Seem to be experiencing habituation after 8 months of using hearing aids with a wave sound background noise. If habituation continues should I still use the hearing aids w/ background noise? I do not need them for hearing purposes...

Where did you get the hearing aids from? Do they have a protocol? Not sure how they wean them once things are better, but I hope you don't end up permanently with hearing aids just for white noise.

I don't know, never had them, but it sounds like something to gradually wean off from. In any case, the habituation news is fantastic, and after only eight months.

The auditory system is delicate and therefore it is not a good idea, to use hearing aids unless they have been suggested by your ENT doctor. Please click on the links below and read my posts on tinnitus and habituation.
