Happiest Countries in the World

I think this is so subjective so as to make any ranking meaningless...

What makes one person happy, makes another person miserable. So the average value provides little information to any given reader about whether the reader would be happy in that country.

Healthcare, Education, Security, etc
If you live in a country where there is good healthcare and no crime you would be happier than living in a country that dosent exhibit these things.

I am moving to Canada :)

good healthcare and no crime
Back during Feudalism, serfs at most manors would have a reasonable master. He would provide the best healthcare available at the time to them and also protect them from criminals and invaders. During Feudalism, serfs worked three days of the week for their master. If their workweek was 6-7 days long, 3 days is equivalent to 43.8%-50% tax rate. When all taxes are combined together, a typical Canadian pays somewhere between 40% and 45% in taxes. So I am not 100% sure whether being virtually turned into a serf is worth "good healthcare and low crime"...

Well in the USA its easy to go bankrupt because of healthcare costs.

Would you live in USA where you can go bankrupt if you get sick or live in UK where you wont end up being homeless for having some minor surgery which would cost a fortune here.
No place like home but Canada and Australia sound nice.

I would live in Canada but the French speaking part called Quebec. I am not interested in Western Canada as its not fascinating to me. Australia would be ideal for me or New Zealand, hell I would choose any of those Scandinavian countries.

I heard Quebec is well nice but one of my lecturers comes from there and she's a hard@$$. A lot of students advised me to stay away from her, always gives bad grades lol

The one bad thing about Australia imo is that it is so isolated from the rest of the world.

Everything in Australia can and will kill you.
If I were you I would stay put in Czech Rep, to me it was a beautiful country with amazing BEER. I have no idea about healthcare and education, whether they are free or not or how good they are. Canada is a nice place I been there eight years ago and loved it. I enjoyed Toronto very much, would love to see Quebec.
USA is nothing special really, it feels like you are on another planet here.

It is better to be taxed and live in Canada than knowing that if you get sick you are screwed.
It might be the case that if you use the money that you would have paid in taxes in Canada to buy insurance, you would be better off than if you were to live in Canada. I have no idea whether that is the case.

France, it really depends on the area.
Insecurity and incivility became very high in most big cities. In some districts girls cannot even go out alone...

What do you mean they cant go out alone?

Bill Bauer I have decided to move to Iceland hahaa

The west coast of North America is spectacular, as far as the weather is concerned.

Australia is isolated, but it is actually not a big deal. You get used to those 20-30 hour one-way flights (which you also have to experience when you travel to Europe from a place like Vancouver). It is not something you need to worry about, when how you are going to be spending your life is on the line.

The only problem in Australia that I noticed is that their food prices are higher than they are in North America (this is probably the result of their unwillingness to import any fruits and vegetables). The wildlife is just a minor annoyance. If you are careful, your chances of getting seriously hurt are very low.

My guess is that Australia has a brighter future than Europe and North America. It has a spectacular climate.

Both are good and free (I'd much rather get treated here than in the UK i.e., unless it's the UCL hosp.) but just like with every occupation there are professionals, good workers and then there are the bad ones..

or New Zealand
I've been to New Zealand. I am not sure why it is considered to be a developed country. It felt like a third world country to me. I would recommend against New Zealand. Australia, on the other hand, had exceeded my expectations.

Gee.. I must be one miserable f*ck when not even living in the second happiest country can satisfy me.

These surveys are worthless. The danes are in general a very complaining population and many are on AD's, HAPPY? LOL

Human beings never satisfy whatever country they live in. They will find something to complain about and always want more.

Yes, but you in the UK have NHS. We in the USA would love to have that. Sure no place is perfect but having affordable education and good healthcare is a must.
