Hi!
My name is magenta (let's say) and I got my tinnitus 7 years ago. I Went to a rock conecrt and someone pushed me next to the speaker. It was mild, and I could easily ignore it. But last Friday I went to a Music festival and I just made it worse. I wish I could say I wore ear plugs, but I didn't....at a band which I liked and plays a bit milder music I didn't wear them...and here I am now. With a mid-ear fluid accumulation (I have no idea how this happened, but it seems to be connected) and a higher pitch tinnitus.
I know I will be able to get accustomed to it, but all I am thinking now is "stupid! stupid! stupid!". I feel like I am on the edge of despair... I tried finding its range, but I don't have a particular tone...it's more like the sound of a fan inside my head,I can't really pinpoint it on a Hz map.
I hope that joining this Community will help me to cope with this annoying noise.
All the best
