I have tinnitus for about 15 years now. I just got a new tv for xmas. As soon as I plugged it in my ringing in my ears went through the roof. I DON'T know what there doing to the speakers on these tv's these days this is the second one that had done this to me. I am just saying if you bought a new tv recently you might want to unplug it for a couple of days and see if things get better.

Not sure why speakers at normal volume for a short exposure can do this. Your T has been stable for years so why this short exposure can do that? Did you have other occasions in the past where you were exposed to speaker sounds? Here is a guideline for noise exposure.
