Hi, I'm Laurence. My tinnitus probably started around the mid to late 90's. I was doing a lot of commissioning work in factory automation and I played guitar in heavy metal bands. Coupled with the usual love of loud music and a car stereo that could induce comas at 50 feet I was soon into temporary bouts of tinnitus.

Eventually it all joined up and now it's basically constant. It's not stopping me sleeping (yet) but I figured this was a good place to see what actually helps and what's a load of rubbish (Reddit - I'm looking at you here).

So yeah, that's me.
