I did the tango with tinnitus for two months. It's about a month of not having tinnitus anymore. Relative silence depending on the electronics in my household.
I remembered that clenching your jaw could make tinnitus temporarily spike. Something somatic, never really understood. I tried clenching my jaw today, multiple times. Everytime i did it created a high pitch, medium volume ringing inside my cranium. It didn't seem like my old tinnitus, but it sure was a tinnitus. If that makes sense.
Maybe tinnitus is preparing to comeback? Maybe my brain shutoff tinnitus but jaw clenching makes it comeback? Maybe everyone can induce temporary tinnitus that way?
I know if you clench your jaw during an EEG all the brain waves spike and go crazy.
I just thought this was interesting and didn't know where better to post it. Tinnitus is mostly a subjective experience so researcher's need our opinions and feedback to learn about it.
