      I am in pain right now! I didn't even know teeths could hurt.
      My jaw started acting up before summer but it stopped and started again when School did. A few weeks later tinnitus followed... Which leads me to today. Still have T waiting for a mouthguard but the dentist only made one so I would leave. No hearing loss have been tested twice and have overaverrage. PT trying to push back my jaws and a annoying pain. My right side the T side feels bigger where the joints are but the dentist called it overused muscles.
      Could it be inflamation? It gets really bad every 5th day. It hurts and aggitate.

      @untamed wolf, have you seen a specialist in TMJ disorders? Dentists are usually not trained for TMJ disorders. Not to say this is what you have, but better to have multiple opinions on your situation.

      Sorry you're in so much pain! I hope you find a resolution to your problems.

      @Sailboardman I have not been to a specialist but only because I don't know if there is one. I don't live in the states and it seems like no one have ever heard of TMJ. Where should I even start looking?

      @untamed wolf, I assume you have googled TMJ specialists in your area? Where are you from? Are there any members here on TT from your area who can advise you?

      I live in Scandinavia and when I Google nothing solid comes up. If TMJ is the cause of my T I want it fixed but it is hopeless to find any TMJ specialists. I'm going to the dentist tomorrow to get a mouthguard but I will push for a TMJ specialist.

      @glynis I will try the hot compress thanks. I already eskaper to the showet once today, it relives both T and jaw pain for a brief moment. The pain is as much in the right side og my teeths and the front of my mouth. When it gets really bad my jaws feel misaligned and there is air inbetween my teeths when i clench them together. Do you by any chance have experience with this feeling? Or any info?

      Your dentist can make a mouth guard wear at night and that will help you and rd line your jaw....specialists won't operate unless it's sever...lots of love glynis

      I know glucosamine and condroitin are good for most joints. Is the TMJ an exception to this?

      @untamed wolf
      If you can get some MSM crystals(not powder) I would get some. S' for inflammation, nerve inflammation and nerve pain.

      @AnxiousJon,
      I'm not sure.
      I cope well as have adjusted over the years.
      Still need to think about surgery but the understudy man I saw said the results after the op only last about a year so need talk to the main consultant when I go in a few months...lots of love glynis
