My ENT doctor gave me some medicines. However, the situation doesn't seem to improve a lot. I'm a bit depressed, and can't sleep well. I'm reading the posts in this forum. I wonder if there's any more advice?

      What medicines he gave you?

The usual advice going around the place is "learn to live with it".

Usually if it was temporary it would have gone by now..
Although some people say up to 6 months and even a year it could go away.

But the best advice i can give is to try and accept it now so that if it is permanent, you're already in your way to living with it.
And if it goes away, happy days!

You can try using masking sounds when sleeping. I found nature sounds like rain or storms good for me. Others like to use crickets/cicadas.

You can just YouTube sounds.. try not to have it too loud. But just enough to take your mind off tinnitus and on to the sound.

Hot showers sometimes calm my tinnitus. Try having one before bed.

      Hi @katex18.
Getting enough sleep is a main problem for low mood with tinnitus.
Try lavinder on your pillow to relax you and the sence of smell a good distraction.
Sound therapy can help but don't give in if does not help you sleep at first as can take a few days to adapt to it.
Make sure your bedroom is dark at night and blackout blinds can help you.
Natural sleeping aids can help and if you need sleeping medication of the doctor for a short while that's ok too.
      Keep posting for support .
      ..lots of love glynis

Thanks for all your kind words! That makes me calm down a bit. I was given something called prednisone acetate tablets, and i am now taking mecobalamin tablets and betahistine mesilate tablets. I read about different treatments from medicines and meditation to sound therapy, and I'll see if something is suitable for my situation.
