Hello everyone,

Since last week I've had this noise in my head, it's a very high beeping tone that is constantly "on".
When I'm at school or just doing stuff I never hear it, but from the moment that I'm home it is constantly beeping! And it's so annoying! I sleep really bad because of it ! When it started I went to my regular doctor and she said I had an ear infection. She gave me ear drops and they didn't really help. The infection was over I guess, but I still had TERRIBLE headaches and because of those I didn't go to school for 2 days. Then I went to an ENT doctor and they checked my hearing and everything was perfectly fine. No hearing loss, etc. I also did a CT-scan and everything was OK aswell... But I still have this annoying beeping in my head ! And i really don't know what to do ! :(

Any help ? :(

Wanted to add, tinnitus has so many causes. What do you think caused the beep? Were there any factors like a head injury or exposure to loud sounds? Also the cause might be something simple like a Vitamin B12 defiency. Talk to a doctor and ask about getting Vitamin B12 shots/injections.

Hi Emma, What do you think caused your tinnitus ? I am looking into upper cervical problems for mine ,although not sure because of noise exposure too.

I really dont know. I think it was being exposed to loud sounds over time during 2012. The t was faint and became louder over the last year.

Have you found any relief? I have been taking Gabapentin + Klonopin for quite some time with mixed results. That is what the T doc recommended that I seen.

No relief. It has actually gotten worse over the last year. I am just now starting to look for treatment. I think only tinnitus retraining will work for me because medications have so many side effects.

Hi Steven, You could look into TMJ problems. That can cause headaches. I was diagnosed with TMD, but I don't think thats what caused my tinnitus. Probably noise exposure or cervical problems.

Hi Steven, Maybe yours is TMJ related. I guess you can get headaches from TMD. I went to a TMJ specialist in 2010 and he said I had mild TMD. I had no headaches however or jaw pain. It was one of many hopes to get rid of
tinnitus that didn't work. I could send you the website of that doctor and youtube if you like.

I guess I posted twice by mistake.

Emma, I agree your better off without meds, and that tinnitus retraining is a better way. Sorry I brought up the meds, as they may have some side effects or be ototoxic. I guess I wanted faster results, and wasn't ready for tinnitus retraining yet.
Peter,no I mean Dale
