Cause of Tinnitus
-
Hello all! I hope everything is doing well.

I am currently suffering strongly from IBS-Motility issues, far worst than suffering from Tinnitus :(

Anyway, gut and brain are strongly correlated. I must take some prokinetic drugs and I would like to know if anyone here has take them and has had no effect on their T.

They have also ordered me Probiotics but i am sure they are in the safe zone.

If anyone here has taken prokinetic drugs have they had any effect on your T?

Thanks a lot and regards!

are you talking metachlopramide?

gave me restless legs. (pre tinnitus)

have you tried iberogast?

triphala is another motility herb you could try.

i had delayed gastric emptying a few years ago, so im very sympathetic to anyone with motility issues.

have you addressed dysbiosis? i'm pretty sure bioceuticals have a product for ibs.

Thank you @DebInAustralia

Yes, it is a horrible condition to suffer, leaky gut and IBS :( I will try Triphala, thanks! Unfortunately here in my country there is no Iberogast but I will try to get for some friends that live in Europe.

Thank you also for the dysbiosis suggestion, next monday I have appointment with my Gastro and let him know.

I am a bit scared because many motility drugs play with serotonin but I have researched many don't list Tinnitus as a side effect, and I guess they are not ototoxic so maybe they are worth the shot, mainly due to the horrible effects of IBS and Leaky gut.

Thanks a lot deb!

I read that L rhamnosus is a specific strain that has been shown to be helpful in IBS.

also, consider your liver detox pathways. part of my recovery was related to uncovering struggling liver detox pathways. if there is a problem upstream (liver), there will be issues downstream (bloating, pain, congestion, nausea etc).

you can do a functional liver detox profile which will tell you specifically which pathway is misbehaving and then you can tailor a program to fix it.

How did you go with your gastro appointment? did you ever try the Triphala and/or Iberogast?
