Cause of Tinnitus
unknown
Ive had the first start of tinnitus (although barely audible and totally unobtrusive) 4 months ago. Im starting to think it was caused by a horse whinnying right next to my ear. It's now 4 months later, and since about 2 weeks the volume has spiked to the point where it is seriously impacting my life. Possibly after (short) exposure to some loud noise, and/or serious anxiety attacks about it.

Several people have told me to go to germany to have steroid treatment, but it seems a little late for that. Should I still do it? Or are there serious side effects?

Oral or IV steriods are most likely without effect at this point.

Perhaps intratympanic injections may still be of help; I doubt it, however.

The following clinic can help with all three things:

Cor, hurry up and go do Cortisone with me after 3 or 4 months it had still a noticeable effect, maybe it is temporary but good chance it helps you gain a permanent lowering

Everyone is different.
I had the treatment one week after T onset.
Did nothing for me.
Psychologically it would be worth trying everything possible.

Robb, I asked you in another thread. Does the cortisone treatment require multiple visits? I am like a 2.5 hour drive from the nearest clinic in germany.
