Is Atarax (Hydroxyzine) Safe?

Will Atarax make my tinnitus worse? I need it for sleep.

 

I have taken it since onset of pulsatile tinnitus & tinnitus and it helps to relax, sometimes I feel it lowers it a little bit. Try to take them 2 hours before bed and then melotonin 5mg at bed time and you should sleep good. I never had a problem with sleep and I have it loud 4/10 to 9/1o good luck god bless.

I have been taking it only at night. The Dr. I go to says it is not addictive and safer than xanax . He is a DO Dr. which means he treats the mind and body as a whole - he prescribes meds that are safer. All meds including vitamins and herbals have side effects. It doesnt seem to make my t louder either. We all need sleep. Just take it as your Dr prescribed
