Hey,
I am curious if it is possible to have tinnitus in your left ear and hyperacusis in your right ear with no cross over, respectively.
For the week, my tinnitus has been pretty steady, but I have been starting to become more and more sensitive to noise in my right ear. I would probably have hyperacusis in my left too if it wasn't for the moderate-severe conductive hearing loss (~40-60 dB)...
I guess my main question(s) here is how to avoid having noise sensitive turn into full blow hyperacusis? What even constitutes hyperacusis anyways? Is there like a dB threshold or something? I have no knowledge about hyperacusis and want learn so I can protect myself from it. As of now I can tolerate noises like putting the dishes away, but it is super annoying. I feel like every day it is getting worse and I am scared, but trying to maintain a sense of calmness.
Thanks,
Camp
