It's Been a While — Things Are Worse — Hyperacusis Feels Like a Hot Pain Shooting Through My Ear

I've been away for a while trying to get better but unfortunately things just got worse.

My hyperacusis currently feels like a hot pain shooting through my ear. I keep asking myself how much more of this can I take? I've lost friends, family and it truly feels like no one understands or cares.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone on here, hope you guys are doing better then me.

It started shortly after I took prednisone steroids during the onset of my tinnitus.

That's not the prednisone's fault. It's loud noise damage or something else that harmed the cochlear nerve fibers.
This condition is now called noxacusis instead of hyperacusis by researchers.
