Hope as I try to get help I can be part of being part of finding something that works for a cure. I really don't know what to do and the two ear doctors I have seen did not help either.

Welcome to "the club". You've already figured out that doctors aren't particularly useful when it comes to T.
Since you stated "UNKNOWN" as cause of T in your profile, you would probably benefit from going down the diagnosis path, as you should know that some forms of T are actually curable. Don't get your hopes too high though - these are rare, but they do exist.

Good luck!

Welcome to the forum. For members to help or advise you, it is best you provide more detail on your tinnitus. That way people can better advise or share experiences similar to your T. Family doctors, even ENTs who had not been trained to treat T usually don't know what they can do to help you besides referring you to tests here and there. In the absence of proven drugs for T treatment, they are just as clueless as anybody else. Sometimes some members luck out to see doctors or ENTs who themselves have T, like some of the doctors on the Doctor's Corner. But in general, it is a disappointment. Here is TT's own thread for a T sufferer and perhaps with links to ATA & BTA you will find it useful. It offers step by step instruction on what to do when you have T. Take good care. God bless.

Below are some of the known causes of T. Perhaps if you find you have something like that during or just before T started, it may point you to the right direction to see if the possible cause(s) can be traced down and taken care of. Usually when the root cause of T is fixed, T will generally disappear or fade.

There are many causes which can trigger or aggravate tinnitus including but not limited to drug reaction or side-effects from ototoxic drugs, ear wax build-up, ear or Eustachian tube infection or ETD, ear drum injury, fluid build-up in ears feeling pressured or fullness, sinus infection & congestion especially with a bad cold, TMJ, TTTS, high blood pressure or blood circulation problem, loud noise exposure or acoustic trauma/shock, head trauma & injury, neck injury or muscle problems, hearing loss, Meniere's Decease, barotrauma from sudden change of air pressure such as during landing & taking off on flights especially with blocked nose causing failure to balance the pressure changes, slapping of the ears, deep grief for the loss of loved ones, untreated sleep apnea, extreme, extended stress, anxiety & panic disorder, etc., etc.
