Has anyone been on mirtazapine and got off it? Did you have any problems? I have currently cut from 15mg to 11mg.

Hi Bill, I was on Mirtazapine for years but read that it makes tinnitus worse so got off it. I found it ok to get off.

At one point I was very depressed so tried going back on it but found it sent my tinnitus INSANE. That was over a year ago I think. Glad I stayed off it m.

Mirtazapine is a good choice to get sleep at night.
Nothing specific bad or good for tinnitus....

I have been on 15mg Mirtazapine and tapered down to 11.25mg and feel bad. Has anyone successfully got off this crap?

On a Facebook Mirtazapine page people had many problems with it and say you have to do a liquid taper?

I got off this and can tell only good experiences about mirta.
It didn't affect my t at all but helped me to sleep. It might help for depression.

I would just taper off slowly.

@bob bauer, I was given mirtazapine for sleep but never took it. But I've taken clonazapan twice, once years ago and again in May when my T started. Both times I got off by liquid taper and never had any withdrawal symptoms.

I'm trying to taper the remeron, but it's next to impossible, now my ringing has exploded. I'm hearing hissing, beeping and everything. I just want to die.

Anyone taper remeron without your ears going crazy?

Tapering slow is ideal, when on these meds. It gives your body/mind to slowly and gradually adjust and try to do without the meds you are feeding it. Withdrawls can come, but a slow taper is a good idea.
