So I am wondering if an MRI with contrast should show a lot of your ears.

I've had tinnitus for 6 months and I have noticed my ears filling full and popping a lot more than normal since my tinnitus started, my left ear cracks all the time and my right ear always pops so hard just by blowing my nose regular.

Would the MRI show signs of inflammation in the ears or any signs of dysfunction?

The general use for an MRI is to rule out an acoustic neuroma. I did it without contrast.
There may be other things that unexpectedly show up on it, so it's not necessarily a bad idea to do it - but I'm unsure about the risk vs reward of using the contrast.

MRI does not show ear problems.
It is to detect tumors / multiple sclerosis and other serious diseases.
Can not show the cochlea and may give you an acoustic trauma because it is so loud.
Before MRI you need to take MRI safe good earmuffs.
I have done 5 MRIs and all seems good and the same time I'm deaf from 1 ear

Okay thanks you all for the reply's.
I've already had a cat scan and a MRI and both did nothing to my tinnitus, I don't know if it's because my tinnitus wasn't noise induced, even though my tinnitus gets so high pitch and loud some sounds does hurt.
I was wondering cause with my ears popping like they do if my tinnitus has something to do with allergies as of one of my doctors seems to think.

I just had a no contrast MRI 2 weeks ago. Dr wrote: Your brain MRI and the internal auditory canal was normal.
For 2 yrs - tinnitus has gotten worse. More intense ring. And vertigo - not spin - but bounce with 1/2 spin....
