My Cause of Tinnitus and Seeking Solution

Attending funeral in AZ...afterwards went back to condo...friend said they had a great solution to getting to sleep easily, a white noise machine. Listened, fell asleep, woke up, machine off, but same sound coming out of my left side, or seemingly left ear.

Wonder if that caused it, triggered it, and now what to do to get rid of it. Play jazz piano at UNLV, got pro musician ear plugs, and purchased expensive hearing aid for left ear. Had T since mid-March 2017.

Would give anything if I knew a pill would work. Heard many products like Quiet Mind, TinnitisStop, acupuncture, etc. Somewhat afraid of taking new things.

Anyone know of anything that can stop or quiet this?

Unfortunately, I do not know of any pill that can help, but like you I am afraid to take new things so I have not traveled down that particular path.

As for quieting tinnitus, that may occur in time, without intervention on your part. @Bill Bauer wrote the following post discussing studies that show a fairly high recovery rate from tinnitus ( https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/spontaneous-recovery-stats-over-70-recover-3-studies.21441/ ). For someone for whom has just recently been afflicted with tinnitus, this should be welcome news and provide some hope.

I know others here have discussed supplements, vitamins, etc.. that have helped them with their tinnitus. Please keep in mind that everyone experiences tinnitus differently; something that works for one person may not necessarily work for another; Do not give up hope if a solution that worked for someone else does not help you, there are many other options for relief and treatment. You will find something that will help, perhaps even habituation.
