My Little Niece Diagnosed with Scoliosis and Having a Big Operation

She has recently been diagnosed with scoliosis and only 11 years old.

She will be having a big operation on Saturday to have rods put in her spine and then in intensive care.

She was only told what was happening a few days ago after a big family holiday.

Life can be cruel x

She's so young. I'm hoping everything turns out to be okay. I have prayed for your niece.

 

@glynis It absolutely breaks my heart to know a child is suffering. It’s at times like this that puts life in perspective. By that, I mean, the next time I start to feel sorry for myself, I will pray for your niece rather than worry about what’s bothering me.

A childhood friend had that surgery when she was maybe 15 or 16 and she did well. Did she have a second opinion? Anyway, I say prayers.
