A girl with hyperacusis got tinnitus after undergoing TRT. I doubt it's correlated but it's interesting. If it does, then it's probably their excessive use of WNG.

 

I can actually see that. I've noticed my tinnitus is a lot less noticeable when I don't have background sounds running 24/7. There's definitely something in our auditory systems that is compromised when we damage our hearing that reacts to noise consistency that just doesn't work as great as it used to.

I don't believe I have called the folks in this thread for shitposters (admittedly, I haven't checked who posts here, so...). That term is usually reserved for those few who engage in self-deceit to a point where it becomes a farce. A bit like in 2003, when the allies were at the very doorstep of Baghdad and yet the Information Minister ("Comical Ali") would vigorously deny that Iraq was about to capitulate (even though bombshells were flying left, right, and centre, and blackouts were frequent... ). That made for epic scenes on TV...
