I'm currently being treated for lyme disease, and am on amoxicillin 2000mg per day. It's neccessary to add one of the antibiotics of the class that seems to have the most reports of damage to the ears (ending in mycin) and I'm wondering if anyone knows any substitutes that accomplish the same thing?

If I don't treat the lyme, I'll likely eventually get to an unlivable state, but if I make my tinnitus any worse, the same could be said.

      Any help is appreciated.
