My tinnitus is of the changable kind. Multitone, left different from right. Left ear has the loudest and most tones. There are only pure tones by the way. It can be different every day, sometimes it changes by the hour. Thought I must say that it seems to be that the number of different tones doesn't change that much. Only when a new sound arises...
Since a week or so, a extremely low hum has joined the false orchestra, sounds like a bunch of cars standing outside. Every time a new sound comes, I try not to react to it in a negative way. I say "Don't worry, it is just a sound." Some of the sounds come and go.
The thing is, the new sounds keep coming.
Are there any known success stories from people with this kind of tinnitus? I think it is hard to habituate to it. Maybe it's just that I'll have to hear all possible tones before I habituate.
But my main question is: do you guys have any tips on how to change my attitude towards new sounds even further so that I will be less annoyed by them?
Thank you in advance for your reply
