      Hello to all, I am new to T, started about 3 weeks ago. The rining is so loud and it is so hard to sleep. I am going to look through these threads to see everyone's suggestions. Glad to be here.

      Welcome to Tinnitus Talk @cfh27 .

      Do you know what caused it?
      You might find Melatonin helpful for sleep.

      Welcome to this great forum :)

      There are many people here, that have experience with tinnitus and the advice given on this board is pretty solid. If you have a hard time sleeping maybe use a sleep machine. It takes time but you will manage to cope and live with your tinnitus. Seeing a therapist and talking it out can be helpful. You are not alone..hang in there :)

      @cfh27,
      Welcome!
      Have you had your hearing tested? Do you know if you have any hearing loss?

      Hi cfh. I deeply sympathize with you.
      Although you might not believe it now, you will become tolerant of your T.
      I used valium for a couple of nights just before bed to help me relax. I fell asleep with the tv on, because it took my mind off the ringing. I can't give you a cure but I can give you my support, as will everyone here.

      At three weeks your chance of it spontaneously going away is very good. It is also likely that eventually the volume will decrease.
