OAE (Otoacoustic Emissions) Test

How was your OAE test? I had mine which came back negative upto 8khz...does it mean my cochlear hair cells are intact? Does OAE test have test ranges in higher frequencies above 8khz?

 

I had mine when I first got tinnitus. Mine didn't go above 8khz either. It showed loss in the ear that I have tinnitus in. It was fine up until 3 or 4 khz. I can't remember.

 

I keep redoing my OAE because the machine is so faulty. I get wacky results all the time. I'm going to an ENT where I'm from soon and he said his OAE machine is reliable so I'm very excited!
