Old Musican with a New Problem

I detailed my newly acquired tinnitus symptom on my audio blog a few weeks back: Fragile Shadetree Engineered Mess. I've suffered with a low level 8kHz tone in my right ear since a surgery mishap almost 30 years ago. This new tone is a lot louder and conflicts with the pre-existing tone. I'm 70, so there isn't likely to be a fix for me or any real relief.
