Oral Amoxicillin for Ear Infection

My 7 year old got ear infection one day after swimming, I see her ear has crested dry blood. GP prescribed amoxicillin oral suspension 500mg every 8 hours for 5 days.

Should I be concerned about hearing loss from amoxicillin?

No. Penicillins are generally not ototoxic. The infection itself is more likely to cause hearing loss compared to Amoxicillin.
