      Tinnitus Since:
      2018 or 2017
      Cause of Tinnitus:
      Unknown
Okay so I was on Sofracort for 10 days. I took it for that time and stopped it about a week ago.

So I went to the doctor today and she prescribed me Tobradex which is in the same class of antibiotics as the ones I just took.

She said I still leave some ear canal inflammation and that I might have an infection.

These antibiotics are known to be ototoxic and I can't take ciprodex as I am allergic to it.

But the one she prescribed is especially known to cause permanent loss of hearing, dizziness, etc.

I am scared and I don't know what to do.

I already took Sofracort which is neomycin and gramicidin with a steroid for 10 days. So why would a different antibiotic in the same class work?

So I'm pretty much out of options for antibiotics.

I'm probably going to go see her tomorrow and see what she says about it as I already have tinnitus in my right ear and I might have it in my left ear (whooshing sound) possibly due to the last antibiotic I took.
