Tinnitus Since
4 weeks
I consulted a doc online and he told me to take this medicine for T.
It supposedly clears the congestion from eustacian tubes and nose and may help with certain types of T caused by congestion and I am not at all optimistic about it because mine is a different thing altogether I know.
Anybody tried this medicine ? Its mildly ototoxic I read somewhere
But I guess it can help some people with blocked & plugged ears as it drains away fluids from the tubes ? Thoughts ?

It may help if your sinuses/e tubes really are congested.

However, the feeling of clogged ears is quite common in the absence of inflammation or fluid behind the ear drums in tinnitus people. Pseudoephedrine is useless in those cases.

Yeah, that might be interesting to try one day. Anyone know where to buy it in the USA? I'm confused, maybe I am not doing it right but was unable to find it looking it up on a local pharmacy's website. They listed alternatives like Sudafed PE. What am I doing wrong?

It used to be over the counter but now I think they keep it behind the pharmacy counter .it was abused because people were making " speed" from it .
Ask Pharmacist for it .

It's not ototoxic. It's one of the best things for clearing up sinuses, but it's not going to do anything for your T unless it's caused by ETD.

Like Sean said. In the US you have to ask a pharmacist (don't need a prescription). They take your ID and give you a limited amount. It was being used to make methamphetamine.

Pseudoephedrine kicking in (1h since taking pill)

Feelings so far:

It does make the high pitch louder on both ears. Not much, but still louder.

Had a T spike on right ear.

Hissing/white noise reduced on both ears.

Strange, strange indeed.
