Hello. I started hearing a rapid thumping sound in my right ear. Just like hearing the pulse, but not related... it's faster and a little irregular. I only hear it when i put on an earphone (the stethoscope style ones), and when I take it off I don't hear it anymore. I've been using the earphone only in my right ear for a month, but not at loud volumes.

Consider not using this earphone any longer.

This sounds like tonic tensor tympani syndrome (TTTS). If you find that it's directly correlated with your headphones then don't wear the headphones as it's clearly aggravating it

I have had the same thing, in my right ear. Not like a pulse, but like an actual thumping.

I dont use any earphones in my right ear anymore...since i heard it for the first time... now i put it on just for seconds to see if it has gone or not.
Mine also its not just a sound..it feels like it "vibrates" along with the sound it makes.....just like someone inside my ear is tapping repeatedly something. Thank god i dont hear it without the earphone...even though i think i hear some buzzing..like the classic tinnitus
