Hi I have just discovered this thread and decided to ask some advice.
Lately Ive been experiencing a rushing noise in my left ear. A few months ago I went completely deaf due to ear wax so my Dr told me to use Otex until I had a water Shringe (just before Christmas).
I asked her how should I prevent this from happening again and she suggested Earol, 3 spray's once a week. I have also been putting one drop of olive oil in my ear the following evening and then putting cotton wool balls in my ears to stop it leaking.
I went to Specsavers because of this rushing sound in my ear, have also experienced itching. The woman said my right ear was blocking up again (despite using the stuff) and there was some yellow liquid near my ear drum in my left ear. couldn't be sure whether it was residue from the olive oil or an ear infection.
I've made a dr's appointment, I'm really worried as I'm convinced there's nothing they can do about it and I'll have to live with it due to something I've caused. I must have done something wrong, it doesn't help that I scratched my ear when it itched.
Can some one advise me please?
