Hi, I'm a 62 year old kiwi male living in the UK, near Milton Keynes. I started experiencing pulsatile tinnitus (PT) in October last year, which has progressively got worse over time. My local doctor referred me to my hospital ENT department who did a CT scan and didn't find anything.

I was a recording engineer over 20 years ago, but honestly I don't think that has caused my tinnitus, as listening was not particularly loud and was on high quality systems. My experience is that loud and poor quality speaker systems like you get in clubs or some outdoor venues are more likely to cause problems.

Having PT is a drag as I have quite an investment in a high-end stereo system and I find that I'm now missing alot of the subtlety in recordings.

I'm kind of hoping that my PT may disappear as quickly as it arrived but who knows. I've been thinking that having hearing aids may be part of my future, sooner rather than later.
