My name is John and I have had tinnitus for over 20 years. I am about to start a self funded study into the audio aspect of tinnitus and try to discover if those noises when transposed into a music track as low background sounds has any benefits in trying to make the noises you hear more bearable. There are more details to the study but this is my main aim. If you have just developed tinnitus recently, it is important to understand that you are not alone with this.

During the past 15 days I have been having aggressive Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy with another 15days to go and during this treatment my tinnitus has increased 5 fold. It was a bit of a shock but my experience of managing tinnitus over the last 20 years has helped me to stay in control of my quality of life.

Good luck. I think that sound is a possible pathway into the brain and the "audio map" in the brain can be reconfigured to some degree. I spent a month+ doing heavy ACRN usage.

      Good luck!
