I need to get a carbon monoxide detector to monitor my stove when cooking. But most beep way too loud for my tinnitus.

Has anyone found silent ones that can be plugged into a wall and not cost hundreds of dollars like most handled ones?

I have two carbon monoxide monitors. One in the kitchen and one in the bedroom as I have a combination boiler in the roof space. Access to it is through a small door. It is a requirement as advised by my gas company that service the boiler every year. I also have smoke detector in the hall. Both can be very loud when activated but shouldn't cause a problem for a brief period of time.

By the way, a carbon monoxide monitor should only activate if carbon monoxide is present. Are you sure the monitor that you have is not smoke detector? In this case it doesn't necessarily have to be in the kitchen by your stove so won't be activated so easily whilst cooking.
