Hello everyone:

I have written to a few individual forum members, but today I writing on this part of the forum.
My tinnitus started about 7 months ago.

I cannot get a good night's sleep. Usually, I am getting by on 3 - 4 hours. I've lost weight (didn't need to) from the stress. See a counselor for CBT therapy. Also started on Trazadone (antidepressant, help for sleep).
I get a little more sleep with the medication.

I am struggling - and it doesn't seem like I am making any headway.
Somedays I feel so desperate and alone. It difficult to cope, especially with work.

Are there others who have really struggled with sleep?

Thanks for any advice.

Also try CBD oil.

Melatonin can help sleep,
lavender on your pillow can help.
Natural medication.
Sleeping tablets but adictive,
A low dose AD bellow the therapeutic dose for depression and can be taken long term.
Chamomile tea.
Keeping off computer and phone in the evening to relax.
love glynis

I get maybe 2.5 to 3.5 hours of broken sleep a night. If I take benadryl I can get more, but the next day I feel very depressed from it. I did not have any problem with sleep this bad, until this summer. I also have a lot of anxiety over it, which doesn't help. I started a thread about my situation in the Hyperacusis forum, but I'm not 100% sure that the H is even the reason for this. I know that we are doing the best we can, so hang in there.
